How do I install my HDTV to my surround sound receiver?

I have dell model W3707C HDTV and I am trying to install my JVC model RX-5030V surround sound receiver. Nothing seems to work. Does any one have any solution to my probleme.

    Don’t get too complicated.
    Just connect digital audio from the TV to the receiver.
    If you have any other video source, connect video directly to the TV and connect audio to the receievr.

    You should have a HDMI connection on your HDTV and hopefully on your receiver. If so, just plug and go. See your owner’s manuals for details. Always double-check your connections.
