it said the est. shipping date would be sept. 9th, but I’ve read many reviews raving about fast shipping

    You can check the order status of any dell product which you had ordered on line at support.dell.com. Fill in the order no and your zip code and you can get to know of the estimated shipping date.
    Shipping time may vary from system to system and depends on the configuration of your machine. Remember not all components of the system are manufactured by Dell. So they may need to get if from the manufacturer
