I don’t know much about tv’s or any electronics. I am looking at purchasing a used Toshiba 55″ projection TV model #TP55D80 from a seller over Craig’s List. Does anyone have any reviews that they could share as to if this tv is worth $250? Does anyone know how old this model is? I’ved looked all over the internet and wasn’t able to find anything.

There should be a date on the back of the TV. I don’t know much about the model, BUT in my opinion, I would save a little bit more money and buy a really nice LCD TV. The picture is clearer and it’s nicer to watch. With the Digital transition it would be a good idea to buy one that is digital already. This might not be the answer you wanted and I am sorry for that, but if you do buy the TV make sure you test it FIRST! Make sure it works and hook it up to cable ( if possible), dvd player, Vcr ( if you use one) and anything elsse you can think of.
I would try to save for a LCD TV. It will last longer and have a warranty. If you can’t afford the full amount, go to Aaron’s or some place similar and rent to own! Good Luck!
