I’m looking at buying a 32″ or 36″ LCD flat panel TV. My favorites right now are Samsung, Polaroid, and Sharp.

What brand is best? Can you point me to a website with a user reviews on various tv brands?

    Hi,
I shop quite a bit and I use cheapest prices search engine. They have almost every merchant there and over a million consumer written reviews. They make shopping very easy.
One trick to shopping is to always include shipping. You need a combined price to get the real true price. They offer that feature and many more.
You can go to the merchant that you want to make a purchase from and find the toll free phone number and never put your credit card information on the Internet.
I shop online a lot an I have never had any credit card problems, but it is another nice feature if you want it.
Being able to shop so many merchants at one site saves a lot of time and then you also get merchant reviews they give you a lot of information like return policies, customer satisfaction and more.
I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck.

    Lisa

Of the three brands on your list Sharp and Samsung are your best bets. Samsung actually makes the LCD, this is rare. Their latest screens come in the matte finish and glossy finish. The glossy one offers 4000:1 contrast ratio which is staggering for an LCD TV. Even the Matte one is 3000:1.

If you look at the Sharp invest in the Aquos series, as they are an award winning series and continually ranks high.

Your third best bet is the Sony ones… this is the technology they are focusing on, and if Sony’s investing so much of their resources in this technology it has to be the way to go. On top of that at one point and probably even still they are/were in partnership with Sharp. Their line up would be the Bravia series and the ultra high end XBR. XBR has become like a status symbol for videophiles.

Your best bet is the Samsung Glossy finish unit as it represents a lot of technology for the money. I’ve seen the XBR and the high end Samsung side by side and both display darks and true black vivdly.

For more go to lcdtvbuyingguide.com … they are the best in terms of reviews.

goto circuitcity.com have sales going on and some items have free shipping ,big selection and samsung best sharpe good but pricey and polaroid good for the price but not as good as samsung if you have any questions about product call us at any store or stop by and we can explain and show you the differences
between each of these tv’s. i work at circuit city so i am a bit prejudice but do the price checks with best buy shop and compare and buy from who you feel comfortable with but get what you like for you, all mentioned products are good and 40 inch tv’s are the new size that really looks nice, mitsubishi just came out with a real nice 37 inch lcd with motorized base very reasonable and looks great.
