How much space is required to play a Wii?
Jen asked:
My husband and I are thinking about getting a Wii. We have some space limitations since our apartment is small. When we move later on this year space won’t be a problem but I’ve been wanting a Wii ever since they came out. How much space does it require to play Wii? Or should I just wait til we move and get one?

Not much space really as long as you have alittle more than arm space than each other than its better.

I believe Nintendo recommends the remotes work best within 3 to 10 feet of the sensor bar. I think around 7-8 feet away is good. If you’re talking width wise, it’s pretty much how much you move around to get into it and if you want to stand up, but you *can* play 2 player tennis easily if you’re seated on opposite ends of a couch. Given that, you’d probably plan on a width of like 4-6 feet wide per person if you want to stand and play a game like tennis. Golf and bowling, you can just swap the same rug area, whoever’s turn it is to play.

Not much. We have our Wii set up in a TV room that is about 12 ft x 8ft. Now add in the chairs and couches and TV stand and Bookshelf- that leaves no room for a coffee table. But we can have 2 people playing baseball at the same time. So I think you will be fine. get the Wii and have some fun- your gonna love it!
