What happens when you put your wii disk into your computer?

So what happens when you put your wii disk into your computer? Does it play it? Does it ruin the cd drive? Does it ruin the wii disk? What happens, I want to know. I don’t want to try it out myself.

The real thing I want to do is get music off a game. I’ve tried searching the web, and half of the stuff isn’t any where to be found. So is there anyway to get the music off the game and into my comp?

    there’s no way you can get the music off the game sorry but you can always search youtube and search the title of the music they probably have it there

    It is likely that nothing would happen. The optical (CD/DVD) drive would try to read the disk, realize it’s in a format it doesn’t recognize, and just stop trying to read it. Neither should be affected by inserting the disk.

    To get music off of a game you can either:

    1) Hold a microphone up to your TV or home theater speakers. Quality would be an issue since it probably would be bad.

    2) Check out your sound card on your PC. If it happens to have inputs that your Wii audio cable can plug into, then run the cables into the sound card. Otherwise you’ll need an adapter for your microphone port that you can plug the cables into.

    You can then either use recording software you may have already or find some freeware that will allow you to record input. Record while the music is playing.

    Of note, it may or may not be legal to rip music from a game in this fashion.

    it reads it and shows you what files are on it, unless theres a lock on it then absolutely nothing happends

    accually it ruins the wii disk because the computer dosent know how to read the disk and reads it in its own way . ruining the disk and causing later on the game disk could not be read during the game then pretty soon your going to have to buy a new 1 cause it wont be able to be read

    To my knowledge this won’t damage your drive and it certanly won’t damage your disk. However if you try reading a wii disk from your computer you won’t have any success at extracting music.
