Jake J asked: I have been told that you can’t use old XBOX games, there isn’t XBOX Live, and it only holds 256mb. Is this true and can you buy new XBOX 360 games and play them like any normal games just without XBOX Live.

OK a xbox 360 arcade is garbage stay away from it even if they bundles 20 games i would not get it, this is because it does not have a hard drive

Well the arcade doesnt come with a hard drive, so you cant play on LIVE. You could just go between the two and get the pro. It comes with 20gb hard drive and is just about as good as the elite

THE ONLY DIFFRENCE IS THE HARD DRIVE AND THE BACKWARDS PLAYS. AND YES THE ARCADE ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY LIVE BECAUSE I HAVE IT.

Hi,
I have a Premium 360 as the arcade is false economy, it may be cheaper but if you buy all the accessories that come with the premium for the arcade, you will be spending a lot more money.
Well i am not sure about the original XBOX games, but i think they can.
They CANT play live unless you buy a hard drive for it as it doesn’t come with one.
And it can only hold 256 MB worth of data if your arcade comes with a memory card.
And Yes it can play almost all XBOX 360 games, however some games need a hard drive to play
Also, on the arcade the front of the disk draw is plastic and it doesn’t have a Chrome finish as the other models do.
OVER ALL:
I wouldn’t get the arcade as it doesn’t come with the accessories such as the headset, the wireless controllers, and the hardrive, which can be expensive.
Hope i could help

You can’t play XBX games on the arcade out of the box, but if you get a hard drive for it, then you can play XBX games on it. Keep in mind that not all XBX games can be played on the 360.
You can go on XBL without the hard drive. However, I don’t think you can get the NXE without a hard drive. MS is offering a cheap discounted 20 gb if you get an Arcade.
All 360 will play ALL 360 games except for 1 exception. The core cannot play some 360 games unless it has a memory unit or hard drive. This isn’t a problem for the Arcade since it includes a memory unit.
